Since entering scheduled service in October 1985 with U.S. regional Atlantic Southeast Airlines, the worlwide EMB-120 Brasilia fleet (consisting of over 300 aircraft) has carried over 60 million passengers for over 4 million hours of flight.

Empresa Brasileira de Aeronautica S.A. (EMBRAER) was formed in 1969 and is located in Sao Jose dos Campos, 50 miles outside of Sau Paulo, Brasil. In 1994 the company was auctioned off to the private sector and now employs approximately 3,500 people. Over its first 27 years of existence, EMBRAER has sold more than 4,900 aircraft.
